IB Middle Years Programme
The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme has several unique characteristics that may interest some students. While insisting upon thorough study of the various disciplines, the IB MYP accentuates the interrelatedness of them and so advances a holistic view of knowledge.
International Baccalaureate has all units of instruction designed via one of the five areas of the interaction: human ingenuity, environments, community and service, approaches to learning, and health and social education. Further, students are encouraged to develop intercultural and international awareness along with a genuine understanding of their own history and traditions.
The IB Program places great emphasis on mastery of one’s own language as well as another language. Students are required to perform community service as a component of their participation in the program. The MYP spans from grades five through 10.
